Why do Conservatives want Senator Mc Cain to focus on Obama's past associations ?
Q. None of these associations have caused the lives of 4,000 Americans in a War that never should have been. The Iraq war was started on false pretenses. It has cost over 1 trillion dollars and our economy has collaspe.
Asked by Encourager - Tue Oct 7 10:27:11 2008 - Elections - 10 Answers - Comments

A. Seeing how the polling numbers are going, the Mc Cain camp is making their final, desperate moves to save the sinking ship. This is likely Mc Cain's last hurrah as a politician. If he doesn't win this time, it's not likely he'll be nominated again, even if he runs. That being the case, he'll likely try anything he can to win.

Are there any associations one can join that would then give you access to group health insurance?
Q. From my research so far, it appears that if you have a group health care coverage, it tends to be cheaper than if you have to buy the insurance yourself. For example, a family of 4 may pay as much as $700 a month or more for some decent coverage, but perhaps group coverage from your employer may cost you $400 or so. But if your employer does not offer it, are there any associations that offer health insurance to their members? Associations that anyone can join?

Are there any outdoor recreations associations in Singapore?
Q. I like outdoor recreations(like hiking, trekking, etc.) but it seems like Singapore has none of those associations and it's also hard to find just even a group. So, is there any outdoor recreations associations in Singapore?
Asked by MIKU - Sun May 25 04:37:34 2008 - Other - Outdoor Recreation - 1 Answers - Comments

A. There are a group of people who are called the Hash House Harriers and they go for runs around places like Mc Ritchie etc. Check the website link below. Their website does however say that they're men only which is strange because I knew a woman who was a member a while ago (perhaps they've changed the rules), but you could contact them and ask if there are other groups which allow women. How about dragon boats? They're always looking for rowers. There's also the Singapore Expats website which is a discussion forum and if you wanted to find like-minded people, you could post your info on there and see if anyone else is interested in joining you. Even if you are not an expat, they don't mind.

anyone know how to find out about homeowners associations before you move?
Q. I am looking to move to a condo or a townhome from a regular house with no association. How does a person check on the associations only if they are still shopping for a condo or townhome?
Asked by zarandipity - Sat Jun 24 00:24:09 2006 - Other - Home & Garden - 7 Answers - Comments

A. Ask your Realtor. If there happens to be onsite management or a contact info you could ask in the community itslef, they can provide you with a copy of the documents. Do make sure you really know what you are getting into. There can be benefits, but the hazards of having a bad HOA are also great. These groups can be very powerful and can be dominated by some irrational people with no other job than to make residents lives miserable. Not saying that one should avoid them in all cases, just be informed and very cautious.

A. The closest thing I've ever heard for this was low interest government loans are sometimes available to beginning farmers. Ask your local USDA office to see if these are available, and what the terms are. Also check with your county Farm Bureau office, while they don't offer something like this, they would know where to look. Another option that might not be so obvious, is if there happen to be any high producing herds in your area that are becoming a bit crowded. They might be looking to drop a few of their lower producers to alleviate some crowding. On a high producing herd a below average cow usually is still pretty decent for most people. A long shot but might be worth a try if you know of anyone in this situation.

are there any associations that pay people to work abroad for a short time annually?
Q. I need to know if it's true that there are actually some associations that pays doctors or dentist or other occupations to work abroad for a month every year in different countries. Is this just volunteer work or a real job?
Asked by - Wed Jul 20 14:07:57 2011 - Other - General Health Care - 1 Answers - Comments

A. There are no organizations that will pay for you to work abroad for a short time unless you are working already with a proper company who sends you for a project or something of that sort. What you are talking about is volunteer work abroad and I only know that the Peace Corps pays people for their efforts. Unless you can dedicate two years to the Peace Corps, you'll have to pay in order to volunteer, intern, or work in a different country. So no one will pay you and you will have to pay for all of your own expenses. Check out Leave UR Mark and read through their FAQ to understand more about what I'm talking about:

Are there any associations with Anubis and Buto?

Asked by dds - Sun Jun 27 20:44:04 2010 - Mythology & Folklore - 1 Answers - Comments

A. I searched "Buto Anubis" and found this same information at several sites: "Buto did not just protect Egypt, she also was an aggressive defender of the king. She was portrayed as the uraeus cobra first worn on the brow of Re, and later the pharaohs'. Her hood is spread in a threatening position and she is ready to spit poison on all of the pharaoh's enemies or burn them with her fiery glare. It is thought perhaps that her powers could be used against the pharaoh as well. Her bite may have been the deadly device used by Anubis at the appointed time of the pharaoh's death." Other links shows a close association between Wepwawet and Anubis. Wepwawet is often depicted alongside the royal cobra and one inscription gives the… [cont.]

Should homeowners in associations band together to lobby the legislature to protect us from sick HOA boards?
Q. HOA and Condo lawyers have formed their own lobbying group, the Community Associations Institute, to stop any laws that protect homeowners from the crazy conduct of sick HOA boards. HOAs do not protect our property values, in fact they can take our home for fees or fines they can invent.
Asked by MikeR - Sun May 10 18:50:20 2009 - Civic Participation - 3 Answers - 2 Comments

A. While I agree that there are problems with some HOA Boards, the bigger problem, in my opinion, is owners who buy without any idea of what an HOA is, or what their rights are. When you buy a home in a covenant controlled community, your ownership rights are limited. Those limits are clearly defined in the legal documents that many or most people don't bother to read. Living in a covenant controlled community is a trade-off. You give up some of your rights as an individual to do whatever you want with your property, and in return, you gain some measure of control or predictability over what your neighbors can do. If you are the sort of fiercely independent person who does not want to submit an application form before you change paint colors,… [cont.]

When do babies start making associations?
Q. I was in my living room sweeping the floor the other day. My nine month old baby, stared at the broom for a minute and then crawled into the kitchen to get the dustpan. My question is, is that normal? When do babies usually start making associations like that.

A. Children/Babies understand a lot more than you think they do. I believe your baby knows exactly what she/he was doing. Especially if the baby has seen you do the floors before. Never underestimate a child's brain! =)

How many radical friends and associations do you have?
Q. I just ran down a list of all my friends and colleagues and so far have found 0 fitting this description. I've had a few radical professors in college for one or two classes, but that was about it. I actually tried looking for radicals in my line of work and the social/professional circles I belong to and am having a hard time doing it. It makes me wonder how much of an effort one has to put out to obtain radical associations with anybody, let alone three or four individuals. Does anyone else have this problem?

A. I'm just an average guy, trying to make a living on the mean streets of a cold hard town. But even a lowly clod like myself has "associations" which could be considered of questionable character. People I've worked with at respectable businesses have been arrested for heinous crimes, I'm a customer of a former state Representative's side business and I attended a university where a well-known "activist" (not Ayers) teaches. It's all perspective.
